I like to do and am fascinated by many things. How do I focus on one thing alon!

Question:
I am 52 years old. I've seen part of my life pass, and I am working to find my "purpose" in life. Something to keep my going the next 50 years. I've worked and chased dollars, and now I want to do what I want to do, yet I find it difficult to focus on 1 thing I can do well to love it enough, be good at it, and do my good deeds to the world. There are many things I want to do. I am fascinated by many things. Any suggestions?
Answers:
First make a list on paper. 1-25 things you want to do, start with the ones which might not cost anything to do.
Next thing is to read the bible from cover to cover if you have not done this. Get a NIV version, they are fun and easy to read. After that or during you may find your way.
You can get a hypnosis CD to help you concentrate and rember things.

I know you might be thinking thats still a huge age difference My grandma gave me this book its called the purpose of life its great it does help me feel alot better you should buy it, it comes with a journal. I sit at a job which i have been at for 4 months and people are so stuck up and mean that dont even know my name, my so called manager who i could never have respect for is 25 who act like shes 5 i do all of the work while they do nothing it gets worse. I hope things get better for you.

i know whay you mean i go from knitting to bead work to quilting.it took me awhile to make time to do and complete
each item.so ill work on knitting for two weeks, put it down and start doing bead work, and so on.and i read in between if i tired of the project im working on.like you this is just the way i am so i had to find a way to deal with my overload, you can too.

We're in the same boat. I hate not to have a proper career, tired of changing jobs. I liked special effects, did a course and took up small jobs. I hadn't even earned as much as I spent on the course when I developed an interest in Literature. So I got a Master's in Literature, but by then I got facinated by journalism, then videography. My latest craze is Psychology.

Sorry, this doesn't solve your problem. but seeing your message made me feel like venting out. Hope you find a solution. this kind of life is so tiring.
