how do I get a smaller waist?!

I'm a female and I would like diet or exercise information on how to get a smaller waist

the bad news is, there is no such thing as 'targetting' a particular area. while you can keep exercising a particular muscle group (eg. abdomen muscles) to tone them, you cannot lose fat especially in that area. when you lose fat, your body loses fat all around and also according to your genetic makeup. (i mean, have you ever seen anyone do face exercises and then actually lose fat in their cheeks?? =P)

what this means is, if you only exercise your abdomen, you may actually appear to get a bigger waist temporarily because you are not really burning fat and yet your stomach muscles are getting bigger and more toned.

the solution is to do plenty of aerobic exercise together with target exercise. you will get a smaller waist if there is a significant amount of fat around your waist (if you can pinch it, it's fat). if not, your abdomen will appear more toned, which isn't a bad deal either =)

dairy stuff. milk..cheese..an especially yogurt. but they have to be low fat or fat free

cardio , pilates and waist training(wearing a corset)

twist and twist and twist . NO really a few days of cardio. 2-3 days of weights and less sugar,sodas,and fast food. good luck. and disregard the other f****r that answered before me.

wear a tight belt that is wide and wear it all day and night and take it off only when bathing but if you dint wabt to maybe die then stop eating or if not that then diet

unfortunately, when dieting and exercising it is impossible to just target one area and expect results in one area. i would recommend eating more fruits and vegetables (they have less calories than most foods, but fill you up faster!!)but dont starve yourself. if you are hungry, eat something, just choose better, an apple versus a cookies. or eat just one cookie instead of 5. you should also exercise, it is better than diet alone. walking, running, biking, what ever you like best. this will improve your body overall. you can target your waist for strength training by doing sit ups and other ab targeting exercises. this wont cause you to lose weight there, but it will tone your ab muscles so you will look nice.
i use a combination of all of these, and i like my waist

I recently lost 30 lbs. on Weight Watchers!! I had been dieting and exercising like crazy for about 3 years with no results. I started WW in July and had achieved my goal by Nov. It is really not hard, but it does take a lot of disipline.
