What is the best relaxer (at home and ones at a salon) for sensitive scalps?!

Question:
Mine is REALLY, REALLY sensitive.
Answers:
Try a kiddie perm, it works for my sensitive scalp too! And try not to get the perm on your scalp,(I know it's hard)and also put vaseline around your edges and the back line of your head.

If something you are putting on your hair and scalp is causing a reaction why would you continue to use it? Your body is obviously telling you..NO MORE RELAXER! Try a nice ceramic (not ceramic coated) but a flat iron made with ceramic plates and straighten your hair that way. The iron may cost you $100 bucks, but it wont damage your hair the way a relaxer will. Trust me, I've grown mine out and im loving it. I alterate between straight and curly styles. Even if your natural texture isn't curly, a straight look can be acheived without a relaxer. But if you insist, a no-lye kiddie perm might help. Also, Gentle Treatment has a relaxer that seems to be less harsh.
