You are suffering from what is known as DOMS ( delayed onset muscle soreness) which is a normal part of execise, particularly when you aren't use to it. DOMS is caused by chemicals that the body uses as part of the cellular energy process during exercise. These waste products build up outside the muscle cells during exercise, and when enough of them build up they cause that muscle pain you are experiencing.

You don't need any supplements like amino acids or anything that are designed to increase muscular recovery since your problem is not the muscle themselves but the waste products outside the muscles. I know off two good ways to do it.

First, try alternating hot and cold showers or baths. The hot water will increase circulation to the area and the cold will slow it down. The result is that you flush out the muscle of extracellular waste. Try 3 minutes hot showers followed by 1 minute of cold, and repeat it 3 times. And by hot and cold I mean pretty much mean just about all you can tolerate.

Second, massage is a great way to clear out this muscle waste. Either go out and get a professional to do it if you can ( particularly a sports massage) or simply massage the muscles yourself. Massage also helps to increase circulation to the area.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

drink lots of fluids and go to a gnc and get so golden seal

Take two days off.and then just on the third day work out hard enough that youre sore again. Then dont do anything until your pt test. Trust me i was in the army. it works.

Pick yourself up a bottle of amino acids;they'll speed up your recovery time.

Definatly rest for a few days. Glutamine and ZMA both assist in muscle recovery. ZMA is done prior to bedtime.
