how do i treat pancreatitis?!

Question:
i know someone that has it and im trying to find out some info on it to help them out with making themselves better
Answers:
Here are some tips:
Relieving pain is the first step in treating chronic pancreatitis. The next step is to plan a diet that is high in carbohydrates and low in fat.

A doctor may prescribe pancreatic enzymes to take with meals if the pancreas does not secrete enough of its own. The enzymes should be taken with every meal to help the body digest food and regain some weight. Sometimes insulin or other drugs are needed to control blood glucose.

In some cases, surgery is needed to relieve pain. The surgery may involve draining an enlarged pancreatic duct or removing part of the pancreas.

For fewer and milder attacks, people with pancreatitis must stop drinking alcohol, stick to their prescribed diet, and take the proper medications.

go to a doctor immediately.

first of all we must find out if it is a chronic pancratitis or an acut one.
for chronic pancratitis we usually use medical treatment.the treatment consists of anibiotics and a low fat diet .after that we have to fallow the patient. bye following we will have 3 conditions. first: the problem will be solved in 1 to 3 month. second the problem will be changed to an acute pancratitis. third: the pain remains unchanged
for an acute pancratitis we usually have to do an opporation.in some special circumstances we can have a medical treatment.
if the pain remains unchanged for more that 2 months then u can have a percutaneus drainage (if possible) or u should do a surgery.
