I need serious help.?!


Question:
I suffer from major anxiety attacks in the springtime, and ONLY in the spring. It is that time of year again, and they started about 2 weeks ago. I can barely eat or sleep, I feel like I'm going to vomit all the time (I'm sure you know the drill about anxiety attacks). My questions are 1) Why do they only happen in the spring? and 2) What can I do to alleviate this? It is starting to effect my school, work, and life. I do not have health insurance, and really just need help.

IT seems like you have the opposite of seasonal effective disorder which is anxiety and depression in winter..

If you are still in school it doesn' tmake sense for you to move, but once you graduate it may make sense for you to move to a colder environment

Does spring coincide with anything elset hat can be causeing anxiety> the aniversary of a truamatic event, Final exams, or anything

I would see a doctor, you may need therapy just during the spring months, or anti anxieyt meds just during the spring montsh..
If you need helaht insuracne there are many places that offer cheap health insuracne.. such as Healhty NY or the equivealnt of whatever your state is

If you can't get health insurance try to find a free mental health clinic.. if you live near a city there's bound to be one there

try realxing deep breathing. It works..> If you find yourself in an anxiety producing situation try to reason through it.. I know it's difficult but I have anxiety and it works..

Try to put yourself in gradually mroe anxiety producing situations until you can handle whatever it is that is making you anxious

Well, anxiety over what? Was there something that happened around this time one Spring in the past?? If not, there's a strong possibility it could be allergies. Allergies can cause your heart to race and other 'panic' type symptoms.
See and Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. It'll be worth the cost to fix once and for all (or at least treat it).

1) We don't know. 2) Check with a doctor, or a medical center if you're going to college and can avail yourself of one. You need help fast. Get it now.

It's in your head you need to tell youself it's happened before, but it doesn't happen anymore. Let go of the past. You mind is a super strong muscle it can be used to manipulate you both good and bad. When you feel somthing coming on, stop what your doing, breathe deep for a minute, then tell yourself it's ok to feel good and relax. Remember whatever you say about yourself, you're right. You are not an over anxious person! It's that simple. Enjoy your spring you have a lot to enjoy.

I too have anxiety attacks, mine got so bad i could not leave my house for over 2 years,please get a doctors help. It is really worth it because there is real help out there. i have meds. to take now to help when i do go out, but i can live now again,and my attacks where caused by the acts of another person.and so i had great fear when i did leave my house ,but don't let anything that might have caused this continue to robe you of a full and happy life. I feel so sorry for u. I think u should visit your family doctor ASAP. He/she would have the best answers for u. U can also search for websites regarding anxiety attacks to know more about it. I hope u feel better soon :)

There is a reason you experience anxiety attacks in the spring, you have to really take some time and figure out why. It could be something you would never think could be related.
I was laid of from my job in the winter years and years ago. I started experiencing anxiety attacks every night between six and ten like clock work. I hated it. During those times i realized the reason i was getting anxiety attacks was because my routine was disturbed. It was winter and the weather sucked, i wasn't getting a full pay check, Christmas was coming. It was stress.
Think back to the last spring you didn't feel this way and think of the first spring when it started. What in your life changed. The physical sensations are what makes up anxiety and what causes the distress. If you can, relax by taking a slow deep breath, place your hand on your lower abdomen, do this so when you take your inhalation you are making sure you are breathing from your diaphragm not a shallow breath from your lungs. Breath in from your nose and slowly exhale out your mouth. Remind yourself nothing bad is going to happen to you. Try the breathing exercise and see how you feel.
