Can a casual observer tell anything about the value/quality of a diamond ring ju!

Question:
Other than the size of the diamond, can an experienced or knowledgable observer "tell" if a diamond is of high quality, top-notch cut/color/clarity, or a cheap lower grade diamond. I mean by casual looking, not examining with loops or anything. Could anyone even tell the difference between a diamond and a CZ just by a quick glance?
Answers:
Yeah you could, if you could tell the signs of the difference of the colors, the shine and also the style and the look of the loop or ring

Other Answers:
They might be able to tell a cheap diamond if it has inclusions visible to the naked eye, or is very off color. I think with a CZ the observer will likely judge by the setting. I wanted a $2500 ring that was two-tone platinum and gold in a bezel setting. It resembled those I'd seen in magazines. My husband and I got engaged in college, and couldn't afford that. So, we had the jeweler swap out the diamond for a CZ and make it with white gold where the platinum was. The price became $400 for the exact same look, and no one has ever been able to tell, not even another jeweler observing with the naked eye. Shh, don't tell anyone ;).

Sometimes

Yep. Of course
