I get severe headache while travelling in plane and when the plane is landing.?!

Question:
When the plane is landing, I get severe headache which last for couple of days. Even pain killers does not work.
Answers:
Sometimes, if my head is stuffy from a cold or allergies, any change in plane altitude makes me literally scream from pain. I learned my lesson after one pain-filled flight and now take drugs before I step foot on a plane. Those usually go away pretty quickly, though.
It sounds to me like changes in air pressure set off your migraine. But, a doctor would be the person to talk to in regard to this.

It might be a too-ma!

go see your doctor

I get migraines if I don't do non-stop flights. However, if you're getting headaches that last a couple of days, I would contact your doctor. It could be a sign of something more serious.

next time try chewing gum..it's probably the dif. in pressure as you land.I always chew gum, seems to make it a lot easier, because it allows your ears to "pop".

That's a mild form of altitude sickness brought on by decreased oxygen in the atmosphere as the plane climbs and descends. Other known symptoms are shortness of breath and nose bleeds.

Because less oxygen reaches the muscles and brain at altitude, the heart and lungs compensate by working harder. Also, for reasons not entirely understood, the lower air pressure at altitude allows fluid to leak from capillaries and collect in the brain and lungs. The result may be swelling of the brain, known as cerebral edema, or swelling of the heart, known as pulmonary edema. Both can be fatal, particularly at elevations over 14,000 feet. Common altitude sickness is basically a mild form of cerebral edema that results in a headache

YES listen to maria I would go see a DR.And check with him before you also take another plane trip. good luck

Get your ears tested. You may have an imbalance of ear fluids that may cause a headache. Do your ears "pop" a lot during take-off or landing?

I get this too. It is due to the change in altitude and the cabin pressure. I find that putting in ear plugs helps. It stops pressure building up in your ears which can cause massive headaches. There are even special plugs you can buy for air travel these days.

that is due the air pressure..do not sit at window seat.

definatly go see your doctor if its ongoing. but it could be the pressure and change in gravity. it takes a tole on your body and it aslo affects the flow of circulation goin through your body.. the sudden change could affect your blood flow instantaniously.. but like someone else said try chewing gum..

Consult with a physician.

its pressure difference that causes the head aches.
but go see your doctor. you might have a brain anyrusim or something
