Nothing has ever gone up my butt, only out. My doctor wants to schedule one, but I told him I would have to check my schedule to see when I could fit it in.

Having anything go up your butt can feel akward. As far as pain is concerned, its all about the skill of the doctor. They will apply lubrication before proceeding. I would advise you to express your concern to your physician. Some physicians may offer a local minor anesthetic to numb the area before the procedure. In retrospect I can guarantee this will be less painful than a colposcopy if you've ever needed to endure one.

Ive never had one my self but I believe, if the doctor is gentle enough, it should be OK. It also depends just what in the world is he going to insert down there. In any case ask him if its safe.

depends, if the doctor has small fingers then it is less uncomfortable. It only hurts if you aren't relaxed. I know it is hard to this being your first time and all but, try to think of something else or have small talk with your doctor. Just don't tense up.

Usually u do the uterus exam vaginally and there isn't much need to do it rectally.
But whtever way u do it, the procedure doesn't hurt, but it might be a bit uncomfortable so the beast thing to do it look at the ceiling for a while and tell the doctor or nurse if it is painfull.
he must suspect your uterus is tipped to the back and that the best way topalpate it. its necessary mehbe..so just do it. guyys have to get their prostate checked like that too.
