My stomach hurts all the time. What could it be?!

Question:
Ive been to my doctor 6 times in 3 months and there is still no answer. Everytime i eat, my stomach hurts in the left upper quadrant and I get nauseous and dizzy, My doctor says it could be IBS and he also gave me prevacid, but nothing works. I cant eat without feeling sick then going to the bathroom less than 3 hours after eating. Can someone help me understand what this could be and what to bring up to my doctor? I thought it could be my gallbladder or pancreas, he even tested me for helicobacter pylori, but alas nothing. Please help?!
Answers:
try drinking ginger ale or sprite to calm the stomach. it helps out and don't eat or drink things that are acidic to you and get rest and don't stress yourself out too much, balance things out. change your diet, you can still eat what you want to eat but in smaller quantites.

Lactose intolerance?

MAKE AN APPT WITH A GI DOC FAMILIAR WITH CROHN'S AND COLITIS.

That "could" be gastritis. Are you sure it's not a stomach ulcer? Just keep troubleshooting with your DR., eventually you'll pinpoint the cause.

Gas.

see a gastroenterologist

u could be pregent.

Maybe it is something emotional.that might effect your stomach and your regular doctor might have a problem diagnosing that. I'm not completely sure though, but my stomach does that when im depressed.

you need to see a specialist.

yahoo users are not doctors. you are asking the wrong people.

You should have an upper GI done.it could be a lot of things.

Can you change your doctor?
Please meet a surgeon specialised in digesting systems

It might be a peptic ulcer. it could also be GIRD ( gastro intestinal reflux disease) though your doc prolly checked for that. Those would be my best guesses from the info you provided.

just drink water early in the morning for one week and after that u must see the difference.

You could try a elimination diet. To make sure its not something your eating thats making you feel sick.

I would ask your doctor if it could be gallstones,it's found in the gall bladder.

sounds like an ulcer ,try a hot wter bottle on ur tummy see if that helps,,peppermint candy helps with stomach pain too

IBS usually affects the lower abdominal region. You may just have a food allergy to dairy, soy, nut products. Keep a diary of which foods you ate, and start a pattern. This will help both you and the Dr. He might be able to run an allergy test right now, but it's better if you can detect a pattern, so you don't have to go through all of that!

I WAS lactose intolerant, notice WAS? I used to have the exact same symptoms as you, but I cured it. Email me, I'll explain how I did it and how I maintain it to this day.

i dont know what you have, but I will suggest you having days of eating only veggies and legumes and no milk, try soy milk instead. Just try it, it has to help.

and you are cute by the way, get better soon!

I agree with windygurl87. Emotional stress can make your stomach hurt. If the medical doctor cannot find a diagnoses 2ond or 3rd opinions. The diagnosis can depend on your age also.
Best wishes.

I had the same problems with my doctors. I went through the whole ordeal for years. I even had surgery that was unnecessary. I finally went to a doctor who specialized in gastrointestinal problems and I found out I have colitis.the pain is in my left side. So go to a specialist. I hope you get the help you need.

I think you need to go get another proffesionals opinion!

doc should know best but in ur case it could be psychological. have u tried alternative theraphy like massage or acupuncture?

lIFE IS MISERABLE When you hurt..especially after you eat..Have your Dr. do a test for "Endometrosis"..sounds like a possible symtom. But don't quote me..Good luck and I hope that you feel better soon!!

Please check the water that you use at home. The symptoms you mention seems to be water-borne.

You're a cute girl basically. I saw ur answer somewhere. just came here to say that u're a beauty :)
