My comment is this. Drug abuse is but one possible symptom of addiction, one can be adicted to Food or Gambling too. Treat the Problem, not the Symptom, otherwise, it'll just come back in another form. Drug "adiction" is actualy "Chemical Dependancy", which is a medical problem, not a psychological one like adiction. Grant it, the two often times go hand in hand, but nontheless, they are different issues.

I feel bad for people who are addicted. It is a hard thing to break and they suffer alot.

It causes a tremendous amount of grief for families. I work with children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected. Most of them come from homes where drug addiction was a problem. The worst of all are the meth users. Once people are addicted to meth they no longer care what happens to the children. It's really horrible to see the things these kids have to endure. I know I can't save them all, but I am trying to help them, one child at a time.
