Hi, I wanted to know how I can change my start date with my birth contol pills.?!

Question:

Answers:
The week when you are taking the placebo pills (and you have your period), start your new pack on the day you want as your new start date. So take the placebos Sunday thru Thursday and Friday start your pack of pills. After that you should be on Friday start.

Other Answers:
Get off the pill for a month then start them on the day you want for the next month

stop taking it, and start again when you want. eventually the cycles will catch up with you.. just dont get pregnant doing this. ;)

Check with your doctor about the pills you are taking. For example, in many formulations the last 7 days of pills are actually placebos (they don't do anything) allowing menstruation (your period) to occur as the hormones from the first 3 weeks of pills wear off. IF this is your pill type, starting a new pack 3 weeks in will make you skip your period for a month, and then have a permanently shifted cycle for both your period and "start date". Note that doing this consistently or repeatedly over years can possibly lead to increased risk of endometrial cancer. Once again, just ask your doctor- This is a very common question/issue, as women often don't want to be having their period for various special occasions or events.

Of note, this strategy should not incur any risk of pregnancy, while the 2 above suggestion leave you VERY exposed and at high risk of pregnancy

You can change it by not taking it then starting on the date you want to change it too. As the other people said you have to use a alternate method of birthcontrol in the mean time. Such as condoms or foam etc. Also the pills do not immediately take effect when ever you take them which many woman dont know.It takes a little while for a blood level to be reached and you should use some thing anyways. Also im just throwing this in for a FYI if you have to take antibiotics for any reason they make the birthcontrol pills ineffective and you can get pregnant. While on the antibiotic use another form of birthcontrol but keep taking the pills also.To keep it on track.
