I got hit over the eye with a softbal. How do i make the swelling less visible?!

Question:
Under my eyebrow is swollen so my eye is smaler on one side than the other.
Answers:
Advil will actually help reduce swelling and reduce/remove the bruise faster. My friend injured her elbow and had a very large bruise from a fall. The doctor actually prescribed advil 2 at a time every 4-6 hours for 3-5 days to reduce swelling and bruising because it thins the blood a bit and helps break up the bruise faster.

Other Answers:
Get hit in the other eye with a softball.

.or use some makeup or something.

keep ice or something cold on it for several hours, so the swelling will go down. You will more than likely get a black eye after today so you might want to buy you a pair of sunglasses or pack on the makeup. (makeup looks worse unless done perfect).

You should have went to see a doctor and get some x-rays. The bones around the eyes are very fragile. If it has been more than 24 hours, you will just have to grin and bear it until it goes away.

Hold ice on it for 15 minutes. Keep it off for 15 minutes. Put it back on for another 15 minutes.

This will keep it down.

My mom's a nurse and this is what she told me when I smacked myself in the eye with a plate a couple days ago. It worked for me.

Try an ice pack. If you're black and blue, you may want to try using cover up makeup. Or wear dark shades.

place ice or frozen pack of meat

my sister was an ace pitcer so she got hit plenty of times and all she would do is ice it with frozen peas :)

Cool cucumbers or just ice it (I can not stand icing anything) to make the swelling go down. Also, tylenol should reduce some of the swelling.

Put some ice on it.
