Best Tatoo Design?!

Question:
Im thinking about getting a tatoo shortly and want to know some good ideas. Body placement also please.
Answers:
You gotta get something that means something to you. Don't go tribal though, it's played out and overdone. Get something unique and nobody else has besides you. And stay away from names (unless its family). I'm getting my arm sleeved with tattoos that mean something to me. My suggestion is to give it some thought and pick a design or idea that you're very happy with and have an artist bring his or her own personal flair to it. And picking the right tattoo parlor is essential. Make sure it's clean. A professional will allow you to watch him get everything ready (autoclaving, etc) and open brand new needles in front of you. A dirty shop is a bad sign!

The best tatoo is the one you like where you like it.

Something under- rather than over-stated. Less is more.

How about a spider on the ankle?

Having a tattoo needs a lot of thought. Think about the things and people that are important to you. Don't get a tattoo because it's the thing to do. Get it because you want it & design something that holds special meaning to you.

For instance, I have my mom's name on my shoulder w/a rose. A few years later, I got the angel that is engraved on her headstone on my back, right in the middle. I also have a Phoenix on my right leg. All 3 have a meaning to me.
My husband has 10 tattoos. Most of which have meaning. The first 4-5 he got done when he was very young & mean absolutely nothing to him now.

Do some soul searching. This is something that is going to be with you forever. Have something that fits your personality and feeling.

Good luck to you.

The best design is something that special to you that has a lots of meaning. Whatever you pick do not put a female names on you. To despite that; the relationship may not last. The suggestion I will pick is the Praying Hand. You can't go wrong there.

A lizard that looks like it's climbing up your shoulder blade. =D That would so pwn . . . er, I mean rock! XDDD

The best suggestion I can make is to really consider what you want before you do it. It shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks because it's your skin, you're the only one that will ever be in it. It's truly a life long decision because tattoos are permanent. I have several tattoos and they all have special meaning to me. The placement is also a very personal decision. The sad part is, some employers will discriminate against people who have tattoos or they will force you to cover them so it's something to consider in the future unless you have a job where it's not an issue. Best of luck with your decision.

Something that you won't regret for years to come. Think of something that has meaning to you and then decide a place on your body where that particular thing with look good.

I just recently got one, and I got it on my upper right back, and I love it. My roomate got one on her hip and she loves hers.

I think that it's sexy when a guy has them on their upper or inner arm and on their back. But that's just my opinion.

Hopefully you find something that you like, and good luck to you. Tats are very addicting.

I always think that something done on a guys upper arm (Bicep to outer arm area) is sexy, or on the back between the shoulder blades.

The biggest thing to think about is that you will one day be old, and the picture of the tasmanian devil you thought was so cool when you were young is not going to look good when you are old.

The obvious thing is to get something that tells your story in some way, or has special meaning to you. I draw custom flash for people, and it is unique to each person. I personally like American Indian designs, and Celtic knotwork.

Maybe something that shows your heritage, or a picture that reminds you of a special time in your life. There are scores of flash sites on the internet you can look at to get ideas.
