Do you drink a lot of caffeine beverages? This and/or anxiety could be why you are having problems sleeping. Swollen neck glands is the sign of an infection; you definately need to go to a doctor for that. Loss of taste can be caused by numerous health issues. Shortness of breath while lying down is called orthopnea, but also has numerous causes. I feel that you need medical attention and should not rely on what people say on this internet sight(no offense to anyone) only a doctor can accuratley diagnose illnesses, and you have one!

you could possibly be stressed and that is what could be causeing you lack of sleep and your body is reacting in a way that says you need sleep or we are shutting down metephorically speaking. Or you could be dehydrated and need to see a doctor

It's hard to connect all the dots without a more complete history. Shortness of breath while lying down can be a sign of heart trouble, which might also be associated with swelling in the legs. Swollen neck glands could be allergy, infection, even lymphoma. If any of your symptoms are very distressing or inconveniencing to you, see a doc.
