Running will not make you taller. But it will make you healthy.

Absolutely not. Your height is decided genetically and it is something that you cannot alter.

Sorry

Actually, it might make you shorter in the longer run.due to the damage you may be doing to your spine with the impact of running on hard surfaces.

dude your way off running burns off fat so you dont get taller but if you eat right i herd that helps and get alot of sleep thats helps the most.

I dont think it will make you taller, just appear taller because of the weight you will be shedding. But then again you can look at it like this, running involves alot of strecthing of the legs and if you strecth properly before and after running you could possibly gain a quarter inch. If your look to get taller, swim. Swimming helps strecth out the whole body, the bones on the spinal cord set on top of each other and they are pulled together due to gravity. strecthing, hanging upside, and swimming can help relive that making you up to a inch taller.

At the ends of all your bones, you have something called "growth plates," which are like doorways that are open as you're growing to allow room for the bones to grow. Once the growth plates close (which is determined by genetics), the bones cannot grow any more. Running has nothing to do with it. Stretching before exercising, or swimming, are good things to do, but the "growth" effects that are caused by muscle and ligament stretching are very minimal and very temporary. You can't fight gravity, after all.
