Answers:
I have them too. They're called aura migraines and they can be devastating. Mine have lessened with age though. I would see a doc if they are coming back all of a sudden.

Other Answers:
see a doctor immediately. this could be a sign of a more serious problem. most likely, the migraines are hormone related. there is a wide variety of medicines available now that can help prevent migraines without alot of bad side effects.

I GET THEM TOO AND I GET THEM BAD AND WHAT YOUR DESCRIBING SOUNDS REALLY BAD GO TO THE DOCTORS. R YOU STRESSED ABOUT SOMETHING OR DO YOU NEED GLASSES?

First, you should talk to your doctor. He/She can prescribe you something that you can take at the onset of the headache (at the first sign) that will keep the migraine from reaching its full potential. (in other words, you don't get the horrible headache) If you have one right now, try lying still in a dark room. Migraines include sensitivity to light. Foods to avoid are chocolate, and nuts. Hope you feel better.

although your symptoms are those of a migraine.. GO TO THE DOCTOR! you have to get a diagnosis before you treat yourself. There are many new drugs on the market for migraines also OTC drugs.
Also, migrains do have the tendency to come and go like you stated.
