The only problem an irregular period should give you if you are trying to get pregnant is that it will be more difficult to know when you are ovulating. That's, of course, if you're using the counting method. You can always try an ovulation test to let you know when you are ovulating. They are next to the pregnancy tests in the drug store.

Having irregular periods can be a confusing time to get pregnant because you ovulate between your periods but if they are irregular it's hard to calcluate when you ovulate. yeah it sometimes can. i have irregs. and I have been not preventing for years. 6 with my ex hubby, and then now my new hubby and I are doing nothing to prevent preg, and still nothing. I do agree that not always, but usually there is a fertility problem that goes along with irregs, my suggestion, go to your doc and figure it out with tests and such. and always keep adoption an option. we are!

They say if you have it every 35 days, I think, than you probably can't get pregnant. I can't remember exactly but if it's so many days too soon also. But that's not true for everyone, I know someone who had waaay abnormal periods and got pregnant. Don't count on it to be a form of birth control. Or see a doctor if you are trying to get pregnant with no luck.
