What is the South beach Diet?!

Question:
What is the Indian (Asian) version of the Sotuth Beach Diet?
Answers:
the South Beach Diet basically focuses on eating "good carbs" and "good fats". As opposed to the Adkins diet, you cannot eat foods that are high in saturated (animal) fat. You don't have to cut out fats all together, but they should be good fats like those found in Mediterranean cooking. (olive oil and peanut oil are examples of good fats) also beware of hydrogenated fats. read labels. As far as the carbs are concerned, you can have some carbs as long as they are complex carbs. skip anything processed, like things made with white flour. veggies are permitted and encouraged, but only the ones low on the glycemic index. They should be slowly-absorbed sugars. Basically, if it tastes sweet it probably has a lot of sugar in it and should be avoided or used sparingly.

I don't know the Indian or Asian version of this, but now that you know a little about it you can probably compare it to something you have there.

good luck!
