shut up people! it depends on whether it's all flab weight or do you do exercise? I'm 5'8", weight 160, put wear a size 8 - really. but I play a lot of sports. also, at 16, your body is going through a lot of hormonal changes yet so be active, but don't be obsessed about weight

EVERYONE is different. If you are big boned you could weigh much more, and yet not look it. Ask yourself this: Am I where I want to be? Do I feel comfy in my clothes? Do I have lots of energy? Not everyone is made to be a supermodel -figure wise. AND who really wants to be a stick? Many of these super thin girls look awful naked! Be healthy and fit--that should be your goal!!

as long as you feel good about yourself don't worry about what others think! your mom should not be encouraging you like this! also its not about the pound you could have muscle! just walk about 15 mins a day and watch your sodium fat and sugar intake don't diet. you will fell better about your self!

I wouldn't say you're "fat", but you are overweight. The best thing to do is to exercise everyday for 30 minutes and to eat healthy. Your main goal is not to "look skinny" but to "become healthier". I'm a bit overweight too and trying to lose weight. But I do believe that the main purpose to lose weight is so that you don't get diabetes or other diseases, not to just "look good".

I THINK SO, JUST A LITTLE. I'M 5'4 AND WEIGH 145LB AND I FEEL FAT. THE DOCTOR SAID I'M SUPPOSE TO WEIGH 140LB. I'M 25 AND HAVE 2 KIDS. TRY AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR SELF NOW THAT YOUR YOUNG. GOOD LUCK CUT BACK ON SOME FOODS, DON'T EAT AFTER 7PM AND START WORKING OUT. (SWIMMING,SOCCER, VOLEYBALL,BASEBALL, RUNNING ANYTHING TO KEEP U ACTIVE)

It may be. I am over 40 and I found out that my weight should range from 95 pounds to 137 and I am 5 even. But also if it is in right proportion and does not look bad, you may be okay.
