i use ice on my burns

Other Answers:
cold water, or an ice pack apply for 15-20 min

aloe vera, cold water are the best two i can think of off the top of my head. try vitamin E as well. but try looking up first aid on the web, or call a local doctor and just ask the nurse or the doc. what is the best treatment. if too bad, i would suggest actually going to the doctor or ER. hope that helps, take care and many blessings.

I think just run it under cold water for a little bit and it should feel a lot better.

Neosporin ,any drug store has it.hope ur ok, good luck

Corium 21

In order to ease the burning, buy a local anesthetic cream and apply over it. helped me a lot when I burnt my hand!!

Aloe vera. Search the tanning/sunburn isle at stores. they have all kinds of good stuff. I use banana boat aloe vera. it works great@!!

ALOE VERA LOTION WALMART HAS IT

butter or margerine

Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, or Butter (it will help the swelling go down and sooth it. however. don't tan with it on. b/c you'll cook yourself :oP

Get ICE on it as soon as possible, its the only good way to stop the burn

Safest thing to do is leave it alone. As long as the area is clean and the skin unbroken, that is. If it needs cleansed, rinse the area in cold water. If the skin is intact, you might have to *gently* wash with soap, too, rubbing very lightly. If the skin is broken, rinse in cold running water and pat dry with a *clean* sterile tissue - tissues that come out of a kleenex box, for instance, are sterile - except for the one sticking out; pull it out and throw it away and use the next one.

The next best thing to do if the skin in the burn is broken is protect it with a sterile bandage while it heals. If the broken skin covers an area larger than a quarter, best see a doctor who'll make sure it's cleaned properly and tell you how to care for it.

The biggest risk in a burn where the skin is broken is infection. It's harder for the body's immune system to protect against local infection where there's a burn, and infected burns can quickly become a lot worse - so like I said, if it's bigger than a quarter, see a doctor. If the burn is on an infant or small child, and the skin is broken, see a doctor no matter how big the area is.

Aloe Vera works really well.
It also helps the burn not scar.

Good luck!!

Ayurvedic Treatment : Take some turmeric powder, make some paste if you can and put on it.. this is a good home remedy for anyone who uses turmeric ! It soothes and it will cure..

On an immediate basis see if you can put some ice to avoid the swelling.

Honey is a highly concentrated sugar solution produced by honey bees, primarily from the nectar of plants. It is composed of carbohydrates (sugars), water, enzymes, amino acids, pigments, pollen, wax, and other trace constituents from both bees and plants. Honey has been used in the treatment of burns and wounds for many centuries, with documents describing this use dating back to 1700 BC.
honey might contribute to its ability to fight infection and promote healing. Its high sugar content allows it to draw infection and fluid from wounds by a process called “osmosis.”

Depends on the size of the burn and how deep! DO NOT PUT BUTTER OR MARGERINE ON ANY BURN!If you have to go to hospital, they will have to scrub it off before they can treat you! Besides that, the burn will continue to cook your skin! The best advice thankfully has been from all the people who want to cool down the burn.cold running water is better than ice, and for between 10 and twenty minutes depending on the degree of the burn. If the burn is particularly large or deep, go the the hospital.
If the burn is minor, after cooling it down you can put a couple of drops of pure lavender oil on the burn to minimise any scarring,I have tried this myself and it works very well with most types of tissue damage, eg.cuts because lavender oil has the ability to help regenerate tissue where there is damage to the skin. Hope you're ok, if not you and it is a child, as said in an earlier answer, please go to the hospital, better safe than sorry!
