why not bother? Smile, makes everyone wonder what you're up to!! : )

I'll answer that question with a two questions:

Are you depressed about your age?

Why bother with what?

Without knowing more, I'd suggest you get out and enjoy life. It's only 1/2 over! lol
I know because I'm there with ya!

Hey! Life begins at 40!!
Go out there and start living.

I'm 20 why should I bother. I have a disabled mother 1 child and one on the way; 3 nephews 1 niece who I ALL WATCH!! Unemployed Why should I bother

Because you'd better of be bothered now at 43 then 20 years from now. You don't want to be 63 and not bother.

I think that you don't really mean that other wise you wouldn't of come onto here to get other peoples opinions. Everyone has something to live for. Whether it is for family or for lovers or for the unknown of the future.

in the same boat as me. I'm looking for a purpose for my life. i feel if i can find that i will find hope again. good luck

it's ok i'm about 30! not to tell u my age!

..because you're ONLY 43! Life isn't over it's really just beginning!

If you're depressed seek help immediately. It will take some time but with medication you will feel better. After the medicine works get some therapy to figure out why the depression occurred in the first place.
Depression is not something to just "get over".
Get some exercise- force yourself to take a walk.
Talk to a friend
But most of all see the doctor! It is worth it!

Put a smile oon youl cheer yourself and make other people wanna smile too sometimes i fell depressed but life is long and we gotta make the best of it
=D Just Smile and life is better!=D

i've had a crush on someone who is currently 43 for the last 2 years. and i'm 25. 43 is not old.

find help! its out there!

Because one day you will meet someone like me, 26, bummed out but determined that there is plenty of happiness in the future somewhere

At 43 you are in your prime, so life may not have always offered you good will and fortune but think of the "life-experience" you have! Now is the time to get into a routine of getting up in the morning and doing something with your day (my partner suffers from depression too) try voluntary work or dog walking, try something new, reach out to someone else, visit your doctor an discuss the possibility of anti-depressants meantime but most of all it comes from within, live life take the bad with the good and enjoy it all xxx good luck xxx

why bother? well if you look anything like your avatar id isay your pretty hot and well worth the bother

I am 52 and when depressed, I think of all my classmates and friends who are no longer around; those folks never got to see their kids grow up or enjoyed the pleasure of having a grandchild.

what does that mean? are you giving up on life? you may be in a rut. Get up and make some changes in your life. It doesn't have to be big things. Just make little changes. Learn something new - cooking class etc., get a hobby, join a gym, go to church, pray. Find some way to inspire your life. Don't just give up. God helps those who help themselves.

we all are in one way or another cheer up hun id like to say it gets better but i dont know your situation, but it does get easier to handle trust me i know if you need someone to talk to email me seriously , misery loves company lol im good at listening and ive delt with depression in myself and others a good friend helps so if not me find someone there are real people who do care out there do what you can and chin up.

I leave you peace; my peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world does. So don't let your heart be troubled or afraid John 14:27. I'm depressed as well, Life goes on.

Because you're a little older, a little hotter, a little more sexual experienced, a little easier to talk too, a little more financial secure and should be a little quicker to take advantage of it all.. there are a lot of guys out there looking for a woman like you.

Because you made it to 43.You have learned so much getting to this age,you should be proud.I am sure you knew someone that didn't make it.Life can chew you up and spit you out,but you persevered, and look at you now.A fine specimen, full of knowledge, strength, and experience, that could help someone on the verge of being chewed up and spat out.GO ON GIRL ,AND STRUT YOUR STUFF!You have put in 43 years and still kicking! I think that's why you should bother!I am always glad to hear and see people going on in spite of sooooo many reasons not to.

This is what I thought of when I saw your question, I know it probably sounds random, but: Go and rent Patch Adams (with Robin Williams); that movie is a true story of a guy in his mid to late 40's, who decides to go to medical school, and ends up really impacting the whole-world in the area of free health care. I think you should ask yourself what you are passionate about. The answer to that question will probably be a lot more obvious than you think! What angers you? Doing what excites you and makes you feel useful? What do you love? Find out what it takes to do that for the rest of your life and do it! So what if you have to go to school for 10 more years (you probably don't, that's just a worst case scenario that's not even that bad!), you can still impact the world for the rest of your life! Do volunteer work in the field you are passionate about. Write short term goals and DO THEM! It's never to late!

depression can be a serious illness. if you have felt like this before, or for a while. i beg you to seek help. you just might need a little fine tuning. hopefully you have someone to share this feeling with. and then if you have recently lost a loved one, lost job, boyfriend to dumb, there are many reasons why we get depressed. its normal, but a lengthy amount of time is not always helpful. identify cause, and seek necessity help
