If u have a uti and they give u pills to cure it but they tell u that u further!

Question:
colopolscopy wha t could it be?? is it something bad that cannot be cured or anything??
Answers:
A colposcopy is a procedure that is done the doctor's office when someone has a Pap Smear that comes back abnormal. A Pap Smear is a screening test and a diagnosis cannot be made from it. A colposcopy enables the doctor to see abnormal cells on your cervix and a biopsy can be done if any are found. The biopsy is then sent to a lab and lets the doctor know what course of action to take and possibly be given a diagnosis.

A UTI is an infection of the urinary tract. Only antibiotics can take care of it, and no further treatment is needed. I hope this clears a few things up for you.

Other Answers:
call and ask the doctor's nurse about the questions that you have. They will normally take a message and the nurse will call you back. We don't know your health issues, and they do. don't be afaid to ask. It could mean lots of things.we would just be guessing to answer this one.

why didn't you ask your doctor what that is? it doesn't mean anything else is wrong. they just wanna make sure that your infection is totally gone and nothing else was damaged like your kidneys for instance. people tend to think that bladder infections can't spread to other organs but they can. it happens a lot to older people as their defenses are down. if you are young, you do not have to worry about that so much cause you are already taking something for it. just drink water and cranberry juice to prevent further damage and infections to the bladder and kidneys. I take cranberry pills and that works great, it keeps me from having to take antibiotics which I absolutely hate. good luck! take care.
