My TOOTH OWWIIIE!!?!

My filling of only one year came out a few days ago. It really hurt so I went to the doctor. He refilled it and said that I need to go back to do a root canal soon, he said he put soemthing in it so that my tooth would stop hurting after 3 days, but I have to eat ibuprofen (600!) every few hours. The pain is killing me. What should I do? :(

He did a partial pulpootomy or no pulpotomy. this is a common dental trick. We can get you our of pain right away. The reason why so many dentist don't get people out of pain right away, is because they don't come back if they are not in pain. So one trick, if you will, is to put a temp in without removing the nerve or only partially removing the nerve. If your'e in pain you'll go back and he does the root canal.

No narcotics even dented my tooth pain, until a friend gave me Aleve. Don't know why, but it goes straight to the tooth! Good luck, I just went through this crap a week ago.
