My son lost his front 2 teeth 7mo. ago. How long can they take to come in?!

Question:
He moved his teeth and played with them constantly. I think they actually fell before they were ready. I am just wondering?
Answers:
I have some patients that have had teeth missing for up to a year. It can take longer especially if your son is one of those little guys who wiggled the teeth constantly and worked them out a bit too soon. If you are concerned about this, call your dentist, a simple xray can show where the teeth are and if they will be coming in soon. Sometimes you are missing teeth (this is unlikely), sometimes they are impacted, or they may be malpositioned and be unalbe to erupt. I recommed a dental visit.

Other Answers:
Man, I remember that I had lost mine when i was younger and it took FOREVER for them to come back. I think it was close to a year so it might be awhile longer before you start to see them poke through. Now he can ask for his two front teeth from Santa =)
