Does anyone have any cheap home remedies for sore throats? Ive been getting them!

Question:

Answers:
You are most likely getting the sore throat from nasal drainage. Do you have allergies? Maybe there is a time in the month that the allergens are more prone to. Which can just be causing slight sinus issues. The mucus in your nose is draining by going down the back of your throat. This is a major irritant for it. Try some sinus medicine or talk to your doctor to see if they can do an allergy test if you havent figured out what you are allergic to.

Other Answers:
yeah, actually just take one claritin a day (but buy the cheap Equate brand from Wal-Mart).

I heard ginger with black sugar help with cough. Garlic and honey help with sore throats. Try carmomile tea with honey, honey with sour-plum. I am a teacher and I get sore throat really really often.

The cheapest remedy to heal a sore-throat is DO NOT talk much, it's true, you can only heal your throat without shouting or talking loud.

Cheap home remedies won't help much. Try Strepsils.

put vikks(medicine)

dampen a piece of cotton with alcohol (the kind you use to clean make up off), and secure it against yout throat with a a light scarf, so that it stays in place. Drink warm milk with honey before going to sleep; or, it you'd prefer, diluded lemon juice with water and honey (also warm)

ORGANIC HONEY IS GOOD & HONEY & LEMON IS EVEN BETTER.

My mother in law SWEARS by this one & it works too!

IODINE on your wrists. Rub about a quarter size amount on both your wrists.

It will absorb into your body throughout the day. Apply more before going to bed.

Constant sore throat is probably caused by Sinus Drainage, Allergies and/or Tonsils etc.

If it persists for a long period of time, Get to a doctor.

McDonalds French Fries! (With LOTS of SALT!) :-)

Recurring sore throat - even in adults - (not sure how old you are!) can be due to chronic tonsillitis. See your family doctor to rule out a treatable cause such as this. I have seen people with chronic tonsillar infection and recurring sore throat even in their 20s and 30s, sometimes older. Treatment in such a case would be antibiotics and probably tonsillectomy. Better to see doctor now and find out if treatable than to suffer with symptoms for years unnecessarily!

gargle with warm salt water

If it happens monthly, I recommend a doctor.
