Bankruptcy never killed anyone before, I'm pretty sure.
you bet. I've been there twice. while it seems like you're in hell right now once it is over you will be in better financial shape than before. try not to worry too much.
Ofcourse, you just have to keep moving forward. Life goes on. Volunteer one day in a soup kitchen and you'll feel much better about your own life.
I believe life AFTER bankruptcy is much better than life before. During bankruptcy is a little dicey because you don't know what's going to happen, but after the bankruptcy is over, you have a fresh start! Start over! Make a budget, stick to it, promise NO CREDIT CARD DEBT, and best of all, after 10 or 11 years, there's no bankruptcy on your record. You can field all the questions that say this was irresponsible but almost nobody I've known who declared bankruptcy did it without a lot of thought at the consequences. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. Now's your chance to change your life. Go for it! Learn what you can from this down-time and use it to grow in ways you never knew you could. yes ,my husband and i filed bankruptcy in1990 and in 92 bought a new van in 95 a new jeep then in 98 another jeep and 05 a new chev truck we also have credit cards again,but this time around we have the money and are not living on the credit cards like we were back in the 80s this time we only use them when we travel or when we buy something big ,but we pay it off as soon as possible.
YES! It does get better. Just make sure that u are using this as a clean slate method of life and not just to go back to credit cards again!
We went through it and now we don't buy anything we don't have the cash to pay for, aside from our car and house.
its a hard way to live, but u can save money, and never worry about credit card debt..
