how often is it safe to tan?!

Question:

Answers:
U shouldn't be out in the sun for more than 2 hours at a time. Ur skin will tan, but it will only tan to a certain point, once it gets to that point, u won't get any darker. U should also be careful about cancer. The effects of skin cancer don't show up for up to 10 years

Other Answers:
It's not safe. My mom had skin cancer, what a nightmare. Stick to the tanning creams!

Call your tan salon?

The sun is dangerous for the skin, Sun damage causes cancers, and premature aging, even with sun screen.

From a medical standpoint tanning is not safe for any amount of time. But, if you must, then do so in moderation and for day to day general exposure, begin a regimen of using a moisturizing sunblock lotion applied to face, neck, arms, any exposed areas of skin. Keeps skin soft, supple and SAFE. No-sun tanning creams have really improved, easier to apply and are a whole lot safer. Tanning does cause premature aging, but worse it causes several forms of cancer which while many are curable, can be difiguring, and more seriously melanoma which is life-threatening.

it all depends on your complexion. if you're fair skinned than don't tan often at all, if you're darker you can tan more frequently. I would drop by your local tanning salon they can tell you by looking at you. The safest way to go health wise is to use sunless tanners.

using the tanning bed is not safe at all, u get exposed to UVA rays
