Is dyslexia ever really cured?!

Question:
I was diagnosed with dyslexia when I was five. I was lucky and lived in Alaska. They have special classes for dyslexic folks, which I took until 3rd grade. Is it ever really cured though? I notice when I'm tired, I often transcribe numbers and letters.
Answers:
No its not possible to cure dyslexia, I think you just learn to live with it in some cases. Other people I know struggle every day with everyday things because of it. It depends what your dyslexia is concerned with. Some people it can be numbers, some it cna be words or spelling or processing skills. Things can make it better or less obvious depedning on the job you eventually take

Other Answers:
Dyslexia is a condition in the brain where you read letters "backwards" or in a different order. This condition itself cannot be cured but you can be taught how to correct this in order to improve your reading skills. Go to your local college "student support" and see if they offer help to non-students.

I also have it. I went for treatment but it never really went away. I have learned to live with it by reading slowly and concentrating on what I am reading. When I am tired, I also transcribe numbers. I read numbers VERY slowly and check my work. It takes more concentration on what you are doing. I understand your condition and it can be hindering at times.

It is never cured, but can be controlled, with work.

NO ITS CONTROLLED..BUT CAN NOT BE CURED
