Legs getting stiffer and stiffer at young age ??!

Question:
When I was kid, I used to run like any other kid and I had very good childhood playing with others. But as I was growing, my legs were getting stiffer and stiffer. By the age of around 16 years, I was able to run only for couple of minutes without my legs getting hurt. In the next few years, by the age of 19 years, this came down to less than a minute. Now, at age of 24, I couldn't run any more. My legs got more stiffer and they hurt if I try to run, jump or put any kind of pressure on them. I can walk normally like others. But every other minute, I feel like some kind of pain flowing from my legs to feet and it disappears. If I sit, it's okay, I don't feel any kind of pain my legs or feet.
I am depressed and I feel like there is no cure for this disease. Once I went to doctor,he didn't listen and prescribed me some pain killers.I felt humiliated and never tried to go to a doctor again.Even though, it's not life-threatening at this point,I foresee it may be in my future. Please advice

Don't be scared off by one doctor, always ask for a second opinion.

If it is as bad as you say then it is a serious condition and when do go, you need to explain in detail how this is affecting you and for how long it has been going on, and how it has progressed.

There are sites on the internet that allow you to enter your symptoms to get a basic diagnosis. try one of these:

PS. try to be more precise in your description, does it feel like the muscles are stiffening, or is it the joints, where abouts in the legs, just the calfs, upper legs or the whole of the leg, does it affect one leg more than another?

Going to a doctor or doctors is your best bet, it's your health, don't be scared to do all you can!

see another Doctor

Please go see another doctor. This could be something serious. This time, gain a bit of self-righteousness and don't take "no" for an answer. Do not let the doctor slough you off. Demand tests. Demand answers. It's your body, it's your right. Remember, sometimes, she who screams the loudest wins.

go to a chiropracter. It may be a pinched nerve or athiritis. they can take an exray and see if it is anything to do with your bones. Good luck!

Maybe this disease comes from sitting down to much. Did you have a job sitting down all the time? Do you sit down a lot at school or at home? Do your life deals with sitting all the time. Maybe you should exercise your legs or even go for a daily walk.

Well I know this is going to hurt but start by doing some low impact strectching, thats one of the best ways to limber up and be able to run more. Don't try and run really fast for a long time, fast pace walking for 10 minutes or jogging slow for five every other day will help until the pain decreases and goes away, its called muscle memory you have to train your body to do what you want it to.
You have to ba active, I would also try seeking the advice from another health care professional.

It may also be the footware you have chose make sure you have a good pair of shoes appropriate for your arch and activitely level. This may help too.

If it doesnt Im sorry, but again go see another different doctor to find a solution.

;Hi, these days you have to research and research and diagnose yourself, because some doctors do not help, they just want your money. My mom n law has Multiple Sclerosis
and she has similar leg problems, maybe you can research M.S.

Have you tried leg exercises while sitting? Also do a search on natural remedies, and herbs. Herbs and natural products work. I would also try another doctor, because the more educated you are on your condition the better. Then you can decide if you want to go natural or not.

There is this juice called Tahitian Noni juice, people say that it can help anything, like Arthritis, may be you can try that. Just Do a search for Tahitian Noni juice

There is also this site called diagnoseme.com, try that.

and if all else fells, God never fells, I don't know if you believe in God, but when there's no where else to go you can go to God.

I will pray that you will be healed

God Bless!

you may need to see a doctor you may have some form of bone cancer or arthritis
