In urology, why do they ask when the pain occurs during urination-- specifically!

Question:
I've read a lot of urology sites and a lot of them mention that your doctor will ask questions about painful urination-- like when the pain specifically occurs.

I was curious as to what the relevance of when the pain occurs is? Are there some urinary issues where pain only occurs at the end?
Answers:
well I do know this:

Pain at the end is a urinary tract infection- Im allergic to bubble baths and stupidly have taken 2 since finding this out- and every time- its very painful at the END

I suspect if its painfil at the beginning or for the whole duration it could be something different entirely

Other Answers:
If its painful at the END, thats a sign of urinal infection, and it could get get veru painful while urinating. Consult a urologist as soon as you can before it spreads into your kidneys.
