Does anyone know how to turn a burn into a tan?!

Question:

Answers:
Use a product called "Insurance" made by California Tan. You should be able to find it online, or go to a tanning salon that sells California Tan brand Products. It is like $18.00, but trust me, it's worth it! Also, if you feel feverish, take an over the counter fever reducer like tylenol or ibuprofen.

Most importantly: Stay out of the sun until it gets better!

im going thru the same thing. im at the itching all the time stage. i think time is the only answer.

Well a burn turns into a tan. i think

Try yogurt - without flavourings! Put it on burnt areas, it works sometimes

Hey, I use California Beauty 10 Piece Sunless Tanning Body Sponges. I just ordered some from QVC. It works and it looks nice.

Well. try not burning in the first place, but if you wait long enough the burn will eventually turn into a tan.

For the record, a sunburn - and even a tan -- is actually damage to the epidermis. Only ONE serious sunburn in your lifetime could eventually turn into skin cancer. 80% of the damage we do to our skin we do before the age of 18. Prevention is the smartest choice.

But having said that, once you are already burned, treat it like the injury that it is: keep it moisturized and clean, use anti-bacterial ointment if necessary. Zinc Oxide will protect it and help it heal. An aloe product like After Sun will soothe the pain. Resist the urge to "peel off" layers of skin. This will lead to blotchy hyper-pigmentation and possible scarring.

Feel free to take some ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Don't forget to hydrate from the inside, too -- drink plenty of water! It will help keep your skin moist and speed the healing process.

Do all these things and be patient. Time heals almost everything. Good luck!

keep it moisturized and use aloe vera to soothe the pain. usually after it heals you will be darker, and in the future use sunscreen!
