can someone help me with a feeling of a lump in throat?!

for the past mth everytime i swallow it feels like something is lodged in my throat.what could it be?any ideas would help

sounds like it could be an enlarged thyroid, but that's just my guess could mean alot of things. Try drinking a glass of water and feeling where the lump is if you can feel it when you swallow the water then it is probably an enlarged thyroid gland. Go see your doctor to get a definate answer though and good luck.

Perhaps you have an infection in your lymph nodes. See your doctor.
That happenned to my step-mother and she ignored it for years. It turned out to be cancer! Better check it out.

It could be any number of things.maybe a cyst or something. It's also a classic symptom of anxiety. Get to the doc's straight away to have it checked out.

It is called dysphagia. It could be a stricture. Esophagitis. Hiatus hernia.
They can do a scope and take a look. Simple procedure. Better to start the process now. -see family doc, referred to other doc, on list for scope etc.
I had this too! I went to three ENT's and they all came up with different answers-thyroid, acid reflux, allergies. *This is gonna be a really gross story, so you might wanna stop eating* Well, one day I was looking at my throat in the mirror. There was a little white spot. I touched it and it popped! Like a pimple! I saved the thing that came out-it looked like a mini head of cabbage and smelled horrible. Turns out, it was a tonsil stone. I still get them every now and then. But you need to get it chcked by a doctor.
