duh! vitamin c,. seriously? rest and proper nutrition, and exercise. an apple a day, a banana a day, and an orange..chicken noodle soup is what grams swears by,..lots of water (the 8 8oz min. a day)

vitamin C, Echinacea, and garlic pills at least 3 times a day.

It seems like EVERYONE has been or is sick lately! I was sick last week and I didn't have time to lay in bed and wallow in it b/c of nursing school obligations.
So, I:
used vicks vaporub 3x's a day,
took nyquil syrup at night,
dayquil during day,
used throat spray and cough drops,
WASHED my HANDS EVERY TIME I coughed or sneezed!!,
drank LOTS of WATER!!,
took TIME-RELEASED vitamin C (if you take too much vitamin C at once it washes out with your urine, so make sure it is time-released),
ate healthy meals,
and tried to get enough sleep.
I got better in one week. Most people I know have this dragging on for a lot longer. I try to tell them the way to get rid of it faster, but some people just like to wallow in the self-pity of illness I think.
Most important = wash your hands! drink water!

Stand on one leg for 72 hrs then switch to the other leg, followed by the head, elbows and rear. Repeat this procedure until all vestiges of the demon spawn are eliminated. Don't forget the piroettes whilst rubbing your stomache counter-clockwise and simultaneously patting your head with a 200 degree oven mitt. Let me know if that helps! Seriously, the best way is plenty of rest, and fluids.

Make yourself a bowl of chicken soup, drink plenty of water, and get lots of rest, There is no cure for the common cold, it usually just naturaly goes away with in 7 to 8 days. Just make sure you drink the vitamin C but not too much.
