How much exercise should I take a day to stay healthy?!

Your age is important.I am a student at an Anatolian high school and our biology teacher said that "Walking" was very important for adults.But if they do every day and about two hours.These QUICK steps make our hearth to live longer.
My mother,she is 45,always does this sport.Of course food and sleeping is important.

Well if you walk you should walk at leat 10,000 steps per day.

30 -60 minutes is reasonable

First of all it depends on your age and physical condition. Consult your Doctor. He will probably tell you to exercise an hour a day, three times a week, depending again on the type of exercise.

If you are relatively young and in good health you should exercise 3-5 times a week for 45 min. to an hour. You also want to get your heart rate up to about 75-85% of your maximum predicted rate. To find your maximum predicted HR take the number 220 and subtract your age, that will give you your 100% MPHR, then just take 75-80% of that number.

If you're older or have a strong family history of heart disease you'll first want to see your doctor so they can perform an "Exercise tolerance test". Basically a treadmill test.

Also, get a subscription to Mens Health magazine. The have some really great stuff in there.
