5 dollars, they are doing there job and they get paid for that already, why tip someone for doing there job? Maybe if its someone who makes minimum wage, but i know for a fact these people make more than minimum wage!

I always tip. If the bill is only $20.. you just tip 3 or 4.. but if the bill is larger I would tip about 10. Depends on what they did.

15% is average ($9). But you shouldn't have to pay a gratuity on the tax part, or if you purchased something extra in that visit. I work at a cosmetic/laser clinic and $60 seems a little steep.I hope it was something special (like a special mud/massage for the arms, or a french). Or are these acrylic/gel/lcn nails from scratch. For that much money, if you lose one before your next fill, she better be fixing it for free.
60 bucks?.I'd say she tipped you over and took too much money. plus nails are very unattractive anyway. it is just another ploy for woman to seek attention that they desparetly need. why do woman wear perfume and make up? answer: because they stink and they are ugly.
When the service is good I tip anywhere from 15-20%, the same as I would for dinner. So 9-12.
approx. $10.00 would be good. a $60.00 nail service is normal is a great salon where everyone speaks american!!
about 7.00 dollars is a good amount when in doubt always tip 15%

I do nails, and I generally get $15-$25 for a $60 service.
I would tip 20% which is $12. But then again it really depends on how well they look and how pleased you are with them. From the price you paid for those nails, it had to have been a very classy salon. Hope you enjoy your new nails!
