how do you meaure for a bra?!
Question:
before i go to a bra fitter, i want to check my own size since i wearing my first bra
i measured my chest size which is 27 inches then i added the 5 which is 32 inches and my bust size is 34 inches and and the cup zise is B
but do u use the chest size or bust size?
is is 34B or 32B??

The number is the maximum size around.
You measure around the bust.
Then you measure around your ribcage.
The difference between these two is your "cup" size.
E.g. 34B means you're 34 around the bust, and less around your ribs. (I'm not exactly sure how many inches equal an A, B, C, etc.)
You would be a 34B but depending on what type of bra you get (sports vs regular). Sports bras tend to fit tighter so may want to go up an additional size.
To get the number in the bra size, you need to measure around yourself UNDER your breasts. Then you measure again at the biggest part of the breasts. After you do this, you subtract the first measurement from the second and it will give you a smaller number. For each inch of difference it is one cup size larger (one inch bigger=A, two inches bigger=B, 3 inches bigger=C).
For example, if you measure under your breasts and get 34 inches, then measure around the biggest part of your breast and that is 37 inches, there is 3 inches difference. That means that your bra size is a 34C.

I used to work at Victorias Secret maybe this will help.
first you measure right underneath your chest then when you get that add 5 just like you said.then while the measuring tape is still around your back and underneath your chest carefully pullthe tape up around the fullest part of your chest now you dont want to do a tight measurement that will be inaccurate you want it loose around the nipple (keep a brea on while doing this by the way) e.g.- if you measure 29 around and add 5 you are 34 if you measure around fullest part of chest lets say you get 36 this would equal 34b If you are anything under 28 around underneath of your chest only add 3 not 5. say u are 32 around and then when u measure fullest part of your chest and you are 33 this would make you a 32 A u measure 34 32 B and so on.best advice go to a bra store have a proffesional measure you
