I have floaters in my eye. Can someone suggest the remedy?!

Question:
My doctor says you need to learn to live with them.
Answers:
Floaters are basically a break-down of the vitreous (gel) in your eye that happens with age. There is usually nothing pathological about them and there is no remedy. There is one surgical procedure called vitrectomy that removes the gel, but the risks of the surgery far outweigh the inconvenience of a few little floaters. If you are concerned that you have a retinal problem, absolutely get a second opinion, otherwise another doctor will tell you the exact same thing.

Other Answers:
Sometimes caused by allergies. I use Similason eye drops. Drops can be used as many times per day as needed.

You need to get another doctor. Go to see a retinal opthalmologist. Floaters could be something else.. you should nothave to live with it..

Sometimes they just disappear. If they don't disappear there is nothing medically you can do. Just do your best to ignore them. They are really bothersome, I know.

your doctor is unfortunately right. Apparently there are some surgery procedures, but doesn't sound they are well established and only recommended if the amount of floaters is seriously decreasing vision. It is normal to get more floaters with increasing age, especially if you are short sighted. Sudden increases in floaters can indicate eye problems, so you should have checked your eyes out if that was the case. I found this website informative:
