how can i get rid of indigestion?!

Question:

Answers:
Avoiding the foods and situations that seem to cause indigestion in some cases is the most successful way to treat it. Heartburn caused by acid reflux is usually improved by treatment with antacids, H2-blockers, or proton pump inhibitors. Smokers can help relieve their indigestion by quitting smoking, or at least not smoking right before eating. Exercising with a full stomach may cause indigestion, so scheduling exercise before a meal or at least an hour afterward might help.

I dont know if you can get hands on any ayurvedic medicines. For starters, try digestive pills.

Always works for me.

have something alkaline, indigestion and heartburn i caused when ur stomach becomes over acidic.

I reall like (though hate the taste) of Gaviscon. This really seems to work..Pepto Bismol really doesn't work for me. You can find Gaviscon (liquid or chewables) at Walmart or any drug store. They taste really chalky but HEY, They Work! Good Luck..

try eating yogurt or have you heard of "yakult". it is a drink that contains live lactobacilli that helps in digestion and making the gastrointestinal tract healthy

experience.. my cousin used to have that problem.. when she started eating yogurt/yakult. things got a bit better with her tummy!

Stay away from antacids, as the acidity level of your stomach goes down so does your ability to fight disease and digest your food.

First, stop drinking sodas, and start drinking fruit juices. This is something that has to occur over time. Try starting a probiotic regimen, as digestion friendly bacteria are necessary for keeping your digestive system in check. Soda contains absolutely no beneficial nutrition whatso ever!

Someone recommends peppermint, that would be good for the short term, but you have to treat the causes of the indestion instead of just the symptoms if you want to be indegestion free. Yogurt is a good cheap and easy source of one or two probiotics, but ultimately, you may want to try and find a probiotic that has a variaty of cultures to help you across the board. Most yogurts contain just one or two.
