How can I reduce stomach fat?!

I am pretty active and I eat well for the most part. I am pretty trim in all areas expect my stomach and hips. I do crunches as well as all types of toning exercises, but I can't seem to get rid of the tummy and hip fat. I heard that this is related to stress. Is this true? And is there anything else I can do to get tone this area better?

Its not related to stress. Do stomach exercise every at least 20 times a day. It will help u reduce ur stomach and do not eat heavy food at night, do not sleep and take ur bath after eating.

Eat less, dont drink lots of water at one time and dont drink water after meals until after 40 minutes.

now a day every thing is related to stress but don't worry my fiend has this problem,she went to a gym 3 times in a week and went to yoga class she found it very helpful. she is wonderful now.

I can relate.I spent 10 years in the Army and never could get rid of that either!! Unfortunately I never found a way to get rid of it. It's just part of your genes.your a pear shape and nothing you can really do can change that. Even if you are exercising and eating right that is the spot where your body stores your body fat.which everyone has to some degree. So unless you plan to give up your life and work for a non stop workout, learn to be happy with what you look like and who cares what everyone else thinks is perfect. Just think of J-Lo and use everything you have as an asset.

do u drink water after eating food ? i mean its not good to drink immediately after u hv ur food wait 4 a while

thats my problem too. but you know what i started doing brisk walking and sit-ups and its works.. even for 30 minutes eveyday it will lessen you fats in your belly part.nad of course lessen your rice intake, meat more on fruits, water, and vegetables.

Everyone carries their fat differently. Unfortunately you can't spot target fat. Doing anaerobic exercises will not help get rid of fat. You have to have some aerobic exercies such as Cardio. Try doing cardio, getting to and sustaining your desired heart rate for atleast twenty to thirty minutes three times a week and alternate that with two days of strength building. Remember to give your muscles a rest because that is the only way they can repair themselves and become stronger. Also, when you're doing crunches as part of your strenth training, make sure you are breathing, contracting your muscles (you should feel it) and make sure you have slow and sustained movements. No rushing. Having abdominal muscles is wonderful and it is an imporant part of burning calories and getting rid of fat because muslces burn more calories than fat. Having good muscle tone will speed up your metabolism. However, you can't lose fat from one desired spot on your body by doing anaerobic exercises. Fat and muscles are two different parts of the body.

Yes it is related to stress. Cotisol is a horomone that if the body overproduces it, can lead to fat around hip butt thighs and stomach. There is a supplement to take, forgot the name of it, but keep exercising, reduce your stress (if possible!)and keep eating right. Im going through the same thing. Look up cortisol on the net. I dont know about not drinking water after eating, water is water, no fat, no carbs, no calories. Drink water all you want. I do.
