how do i make my hair strait with out a straitener?!

Question:
i have really thick wavy hair and i straiten it every morning. I dont want my hair to be damaged and i hate it wavy.
Answers:
There are a lot of shampoos, conditioners and serums out there that you can use in place of a straightner. Also, when you wash your hair at night with those products, wrap it up in a silk cloth nice and tight and flat. Also, make sure you brush your hair while in the shower and when you get out. Using a round brush when you blowdry your hair helps too!

Other Answers:
can get a perm for straight hair or use temporary chemicals, should be able to find them at a hair salon

If you get a ceramic straightener, it wont damage it. Or you can go to a drugstore and get john Freida frizz and straightener syrum

my mother used to iron her hair. be very careful when you do it but it was a common practice in the 50's

Yea, I had that same problem when i was younger, way to young to get a perm, anyway. Let me tell you. I used 2 bottles of straigtening conditioner! It actuall worked, but worked better well a light mouse and/or gel.
hope that helped.

a ceramic hair straightener

That's your only choice. You can get it professionally done but only using the Japanese method. It's unreal. It's about $500 (depending on hair length), and lasts about six months. If you color your hair, you have to let the people who straighten your hair color it. You can wash your hair, comb it out, let it air dry, no frizzies, straight as a board. Worth the money if you can afford it. Otherwise, it's either using the straightening hot iron (which I did for a while), or buy one of those special brushes that has metal in between the bristles and holes on the outside of the brush. You blow your hair dry and the bristles grabe your almost dry hair as well as when you pull your hair through the brush with the blow dryer on, it blows it out straight. Be sure and use some kind of hair gel because when you use the brush, you get a lot of static electricity. I separate my hair, spray the area I'm working on with hairspray, and then grab it with the brush and slowly pull the brush down. It does a good job unless I sweat, or it rains, or is really humid. If you get the professional Japanese method, humidity won't even touch it. Good Luck :-)

I have this kind of hair and have fought with it all my life so I would say my source is life experience.

You can go to a salon and get it chemically straightened. But before you commit to something that long-term try a temporary straightener like EasyStraight. It uses food preservatives and sugar to change the structure of your hair and keeps it like that for about a week - without frying it.
