I had gotten Bronchitis last week.now my sore throat won't go away..How do I sto!

Question:
Like I said, I had gotten bronchitis last week. I am mostly over it now. However, I still have a sore throat, and an unproductive cough. I would prefer an alternative to going to the doctor, and taking a new medicine.

I have been taking cough medicine and using throat lozenges (I'm not sure that I spelled that right), but they're not helping.
Answers:
Take a decongestant and blow your nose. Even get some of that nasal mist. Your sore throat and coughing could be due to mucus draining down the back of your throat and causing irritation.

Other Answers:
try mixing lemon and honey...

things like this takes time.

I really hope someone answers you as i have the same problem and i have been coughing ALL day and also dont want to see a doctor.

I got the same thing a few weeks ago, acute bronchitis, doctor put me on something for the bronchitis as well as an antibiotic for the sore throat, it went away in a matter of a few days

my doctor

this might sound weird.
but when ever this happen to me, I eat spicy food. for me it works like a charm .

here are two old-fashioned remedies for a sore throat/cough
1. eat ice-cream
2. fresh lemon juice, and honey, in a glass of hot water.
both work.
if you are over the worst of it you probably should stop taking the cough medicine.

Lemon and honey in hot water. Can add an aspirin or ginger.

I know lemon can irritate your throat. What works for me all the time is the yolk of egg mixed with honey and hot milk. Drink it slow. It does miracles!

try zinc lozenges, they work really well and gargle with an antiseptic and local aneastetic throat and moth wash.

For temporary relief, try gargling with warm salt water. You will have immediate relief, but it is only temporary.
