You are fortunate to still be around at 42. The best you can do is a good diet.

See if you can find a book called "Dick Gregory's Natural Diet for Folks Who Eat: Cookin' With Mother Nature."

He is a flaming liberal from the 1960's, he is not a dietician, but the book is probably the best thing you can read at this point.

Also see if you can find a "mom and pop" health food store and talk to them about your problem (not GNC, but a home-grown health food store that sells bulk grains, herbs, and soy milk.

My mother had ulcerative colitis and finally died in her 50s of a bleeding ulcer, 10 years after stopping going to doctors.

I had a friend in her mid 20s with Chrone's, but I haven't seen her in 4 years, since I moved.

It is trouble with your digestive system, so you should look at it from the viewpoint of healing your digestive system.

The SECRET for ulcers: Cabbage juice has healing qualities. It helps my wife's ulcers very quickly. You need a vegetable juicer and fresh cabbage. You need to juice it and drink it fresh. It heals ulcers. This is widely known and accepted now.

There is a self-help and support group on-line for sufferers of IBS - Chrones - and ulcerative colitis. It is a wonderful place to be. You have access to tons of information, support from wonderful caring people, penpals, etc.

I have received more information on the site than I have gotten from any doctor and gastroenterologist. Please visit the site and check it out. You will receive very accurate information.

I wish you well! It takes a strong person do deal with this. Or should I say that living with this makes you strong!

Good Luck!
