I have a bad breath, What could be the main reason & What can I do to avoid it ?!

Question:
I hope specialists or doctors answer my question wisely.
Answers:
It can be due to a cavity in your teeth or a stomach illness such as ulcers or gastritis. you should go to a Dentist and if there is nothing wrong with your teeth, then go a see a Gastrologist.

Other Answers:
I'm no specialist but I can assure you that you have to brush your teeth daily or maybe twice a day.. Try flossing some of that gunk out and if that doesn't work you need to go see your dentist because you may have a rotten tooth. Good luck!

Maybe you should brush your teeth more often (min. 3 times a day). If this is not the main reason, you should also brush your tongue and use floss.
Another reason could be some aches with your stomach. If the first thing doesn´t help, you should first ask your dentist and if he doesn´t know, ask another doctor.

floss your teeth after eating, and brush your tongue. Or buy those tongue scrapers they have now at wal-mart. And of course brush your teeth a couple times a day

Proper cleaning of the teeth with a good branded tooth paste will help along with a mouthwash such as listerene.

Also make sure the tongue is properly cleaned.you can get srcapers for this or simply use your toothbrush after brush the teeth for 3mins!

well I'm no doctor, but usually what causes bad breath is bacteria in the mouth (duh) and a professional toung scraping at the dentists would help remove some of it and you can do toung scrapings at your own house using merely a spoon

just take the spoon and scrap downward removing the gunk,

tooth decay would be another answer to your question, regardless of the reason you should see a dentist, and until then carry around tic-tacs or other breath mints

I'm no dentist, but you need to start brushing and flossing better to kill germs that cause bad breath.

i used to have bad breath. i am not a specialist, but i got rid of it by brushing my teeth for 5 minutes 2 to 4 times a day and using listerine every time. i tried to floss almost every day but i hate flossing. and i always try to have mint gum. i go to cotsco and get it by the case.

If you've tried everything under the sun, and nothing seems to work, you've got a medical condition and should seek advice from a dentist.
Try toothpastes containing mouthwash. Some have Scope, but I don't remember if it's a Scope toothpaste, or a brand WITH Scope. These are supposed to have lasting effects. Be sure to brush the back of the tongue. They are now marketing toothbrushes with a textured backside strictly for this purpose.
Use mouthwash after brushing (and any time you feel the need). Listerine is the best, as far as I'm concerned. We opt for the mint version. Be sure to gargle as well as rinse. Expect your nose to run and your eyes to water.
Invest in sugar-free mint gum. Orbit is "for that just-brushed, clean feeling," and Trident is suppose to reduce plaque however-many percent when chewed after eating.
Drink lots of water. I don't know why this is supposed to help or if it does at all, but it seems I've heard this as a way to help.

"Just in case you are wondering, halitosis is medical terminology for bad breath. Halitosis is derived from the Latin word "halitus," which means breath, and the Greek suffix "osis," which means condition.
Researchers have for tried to develop scientific methods that can quantify the severity of halitosis. This is because a human's sense of smell, at least for research purposes, introduces too many variables.
It's easy to understand how an olfactory appraisal of halitosis might vary from one individual tester to another. But research has also shown that any one tester's evaluation of a single person's halitosis will be inconsistent too. This variance is due to factors such as hunger, menstrual cycle, head positioning, and the number of consecutive times the tester has been exposed to an odor."

brush and floss. Might have a infected area in your mouth, rotten tooth. Talk with a dentist

Food you eat stay away from dairy products and alcohol in the morning

There are several reasons already answered above. It could be the food you are eating or because of a cavity.
Try scraping or brushing your tongue with a tongue scraper or a toothbrush especially if you c a thick yellowish coating on your tongue.
Listerine can only mask the smell for only a short while because of the alcohol in it, it's not a long term solution.
If it's because of a cavity, get it filled. You might get symptoms like sensitivity when you eat sweet foods.
It might also be psychological. Try asking your family and friends whether you have bad breath.
Of course, it's best to c a dental professional to detect the prob. Don't waste time worrying. =)

well. your problem might be that you have gunk in the back of your toung. brushing and flossing and using listerine helps but the stuff on your toung causes some seroiuse bad breath. go to a drug store or a wal mart and look for a toung scraper. it will help. dont forget to brush every day and floss and use that listerine.. and the toung scraper. good luck

First good oral hygiene. Check if you have periodontal or gum problems. Check if you have any fillings to be done. Check your wisdom teeth. Make sure that you clean your tongue. Have your tonsils checked. Do you have any respiratory or gastric conditions. Need more info to give an accurate answer.
Good Luck
