When will my foreskin dettatch from penis?!

Question: When will my foreskin dettatch from penis.?
hi, my foreskin is still attatched to my penis. Before you say it i have NOT got phismosis. What i would like to know is when will they seperate.? I am 13 and my friends at school have been wondering the same thing, so its not just me. I would prefer if a boy answered as girls have never gone through it. Just what is the maximum age where i should get worried if it hasn't detatched.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
when you say detach i know that you mean disconnect from the glans and become retractable , well it might take a bit longer yet give it till 15
and hopefully it will have begun separating but in the meantime play about with it and encourage movement but only gently you do not want any tears and in the course of masturbating it will probably unstick .
if it does not you can get some ointment to assist with the separating
from your chemist or doc ,circumcision is not a solution to this just an added complication so ignore that.Health Question & Answer

You have to pull it back, gently and gradually, so as not to tear the tissues, and if it's somewhat tight, then you need to stretch it, again gradually and gently.

I'm surprised that these days fathers don't talk to their sons about these things, and sons are too embarrassed to talk with them, either.

And the word isn't to detach, it is to retract, or pull back.

Detaching means to remove from the penis. Your foreskin is a part of the penis, and is meant to retract.

Circumcision is male genital mutilation that in fact does detach the foreskin by amputation, which always damages the penis, makes it smaller, and it decreases sexual sensitivity.

You're lucky to have a complete penis, with the foreskin intact, so that you will have 100% of sexual sensitivity and 100% of normal sexual function.

A partial, mutilated and scarred penis from circumcision doesn't feel or function as well as a natural and normal one.Health Question & Answer

When you are born, your foreskin and glans are fused together by connective tissue. As you age, this connective tissue releases it's bond and allows the foreskin to retract over the glans. This release process is sped up by normal handling and manipulation of your penis when you are young, and later by masturbation when you reach puberty. The release can start at age 6 and not be complete until age 18 with some guys. Often it is a bit sooner.
Do not try to forcefully retract your foreskin now, as one contributor pointed out, it can lead to problems later. Forceful retraction now can
create micro tears at the opening which will heal over with non elastic scar tissue. You do not want this. If you want to speed up the process, I caution you to go easy. I have attached some links to information sites on stretching a tight foreskin. Again, I have to say do not rush this and over stretch.
Try these stretches in the hot shower when the skin is warmed and relaxed. Retract your skin as far as it will go comfortably, and hold it there. After a minute, retract it a little more. Stop if you feel pain.
Keep repeating this stretch as long as you have time for. You can also do it in bed before going to sleep and getting up.
Good luck with this and write if you have further questions.Health Question & Answer

You do not need to be circumcised.
I had the same problem, it didn't fully detach until I was about 13 or 14. For some time, it was attached for about 1 cm on the edge.
If it remains a problem, or the skin is attached to the side of the glans, you may have a skin bridge.
If you are concerned, google 'skin bridge' and look at the photos.
If you are like them, see a doctor.
Hope this helps you and your friends.

Just read through the other answers, and, no offense meant, but I don't think they all fully understood the question. If you've never seen it, it's hard to understand.
Like I said, it happened to me.Health Question & Answer

If it doesn't detach by your late teens, see a doctor, but you are young for it to detach at your age now. Regular gentle masturbation (not forcing it, just masturbating your penis) every day a couple of times or more for a few minutes each time or more will help the process along, otherwise just let it go at its own speed. People GET phismosis because they rip the skin loose when they should not.

Kind thoughts,
