your doing something repetitive that is causing this, and it's something you were not doing before... you tell us...

edit:
your talking about a charlie horse i assume... if this cramp goes away after you walk it off your either doing somethin' that you were not doing before, or your having growing pains from your muscles being stretched,,, and i just don't see that being the case. as i remember your in your late 20's and your way done growing...
have you got a new car, or new furnature that sits lower.? this could be causing a repetitive motion that you were not doing before...Health Question & Answer

Here are a few tips that may help prevent leg cramps:

Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Doctors recommend six to eight glasses everyday.
Massage your muscles before going to bed.
Stretch daily, before and after exercise.

Maintain a well-balanced diet and eat foods high in calcium (such as milk and cheese), potassium (bananas and dates), and Vitamin E (spinach and sweet potatoes).

If you have a leg cramp, gently stretch and massage the muscle. You can apply a warm heating pad to the area to help calm the cramping muscle and reduce discomfort.Health Question & Answer

If it is in your calf, you may have DVT, or deep vein thrombosis. This is a blood clot in your calf. Its very important if it is red, swollen, or warm to the touch, these could be other indicators of DVT. Its important to go to a doctor asap to have them check this out, because blood clots in the calf can dislodge and get stuck in the lung, a pulmonary embolism, keep your heart from getting any oxygen and can kill you very quickly.Health Question & Answer
