Answers:
The only reason people say you shouldn't eat right before bed is because you won't burn off the calories while you're sleeping (that depends on your metabolism though..) and you may not get a good sleep because your body is trying to digest your food.
It isn't UNHEALTHY.Health Question & Answer

All that stuff about the food rotting in your stomach is bullsh*t. The only way it would rot would be if your system stopped working, and that only happens when you're dead. It's also nonsense to suggest that your body would "decide" to make food you ate late into fat, and food you ate during the daylight into muscle. Just think about it in terms of common sense. Your digestive system doesn't discriminate.

Here's why people started to say it's bad to eat before bed: LOTS of people have acid reflux. When you're lying down, gravity doesn't help keep the food DOWN in your stomach. You're lying on your side, so the esophagus is horizontal. Food can easily make its way back into the esophagus, carrying with it stomach acid - it burns, causes massive heartburn, and wakes you up feeling like you're going to hurl.

If you have a strong enough stomach, it won't back up on you like that. It digests, just as it does when you're awake.

I often eat right before bed, or within an hour. The only time I have issues is if I eat really spicy stuff, or tomato sauce. Otherwise, no problem.

Again, all that other stuff is just old wives' tales.Health Question & Answer

Very unhealth in the sense that your body dones't use the fuel (food) that you just ate and stores it as fat. You can eat at whatever time you like just be sure that your going to burn off what you eat.
