Question: How long do you have to go without sex to provide a post vasectomy sperm sample.? I've heard a few days..?
Answers:
Keep in mind that almost everything you ever heard about vasectomies is crap. I do not know why something so common is shrouded in mystery.

The clinic where I had mine told me to bring in a semen sample at 90 days, and then 180 days. They did not tell me to abstain from sex before obtaining sample.

I have repeated the sample process every five years since I had my vasectomy (just to be safe). Over 20 years have passed. I have never been told to abstain for any period of time before obtaining the sample.

I am child-free so not having an accident is very important to me. If you already have children, having an accident and making one more may not be such a big deal, so you may not have to be as careful as I have been.Health Question & Answer

Actually Jim you don't have to go without sex at all, IF you use some other form of birth control. Make sure you do till you get the all clear, I have two female cousins who both can attribute their youngest kids to husbands that did not heed their doctors advice.Health Question & Answer

You've got it wrong. You need to ejaculate about twenty to twenty-five times before you get checked to see if they're all gone.Health Question & Answer

My post-vasectomy visit was one week later. I had 12 ejaculations in that week and my sample was completely clear.Health Question & Answer

I was told to get checked after 20 ejaculations. Do not abstain, you are trying to flush out your system.Health Question & Answer
