Hi I did a research about this also couple of monts ago, and found lots of information and compiled like 40 pages. But I can point you to a few:

Side effects:
Tiredness
Low focus
Low concentration
Decreased strenght
Decreased libido
Decreased muscle mass
Sleepiness
Change in the behaviour (becomes more moody)
Increased body fat
If the levels are too low and strogen levels are high
Gynecomastia (man boobs)

Decreases T:
Excess of body fat
Lack of excercise
Passive (or say femenine and delicate) activities
Lack of certain nutrients like Zinc
Excess of alcohol
Smoking
Certain food like soy based ones
Washing your hands with soap containgin antibacterial of certain kinds
Overexercising
Cardio workouts
Low protein consumption
Low fat consumption
Excess of cortisol or aromatase in your body

Well the list just goes on and on, each one of these have been research and proved as causes that reduces T in your body. Explaining them will just take me the whole day so I just mention them.
The things that can rise your T will pretty much be the exact opposite: Weight training with very heavy weights
Eating high protein meals
Reducing your body fat
Consuming T rising products like Tribulus Terrestris or Eurycoma longifolia
Sleeping 8 hours a day. also rises your HGH levels
Eating a meal rich in Zinc and other nutrients T friendly
Participating in aggressive activities, like martial arts, or screaming in a football game (all this have been research by the way)
