Husbands diet - am i right to be concerned?!
Question: Husbands diet - am i right to be concerned.?
My husband is 52 and for most of his life he has eaten this: every morning has sausage/bacon roll or full fry up, main meal (i cook but he never takes any veg) and has take away twice a week, every evening he has salted peanuts, coke (at least 5 cans per day), crisps, sweets and nachos with dips..
Needless to say he is over weight.. He ignores any dietary advice and just gets angry and defensive if i talk to him.. I am especially worried about his salt intake as he puts lots on his food and acts like a teenager when i comment on it and puts more on..
what do you think.? Am i right to be concerned.?

Since his digestive system and physique has by now attuned to the quantity and nature of food intake by now, its continuation is not likely to have additional harmful effects in future.. You may, however, suggest him that sugar and salt are likely to bring many problems to him after he reaches the age of 60..

You are correct in being concerned..
But, it's too late.. I'm sure that he also hasn't had a physical or been checked out heart wise.. And he's heading down a dangerous path..
You can't force him to change his ways.. He's gotta want to do that.. But, maybe if he gets a complete physical and finds out what that stuff is doing to him, it might scare him into healthier eating..Health Question & Answer

I saw this product called Acai Berry on Oprah the other week.... Looked like all the other diet scams, but I went for it and ordered a 14-day free trial from this site.... And guess what, it really works!! I'm so happy I've already lost weight, gotten more energy and my stomach is flatter than ever!Health Question & Answer
Yes, you have reason to be concerned.. However, your husband is an adult, at least legally, so there's not much you can do to convince him that you're right.. If he's like my husband, something has to be HIS idea or he isn't interested..Health Question & Answer
Of course you are - but he's an adult and can eat what he wants, although I would say he is being very foolish.. How about getting his doctor to talk to him.? I would guess he is a walking heart attack/stroke victim..Health Question & Answer
Yes.. With a bloke like that the only thing you can do is to make sure you have a good insurance policy on his life - it will soon be paying you out !Health Question & Answer
of course your right to be worried one short sharp shock should work try talking him into a life insurance policy for himself using the excuse that you don't want to be short of money when he prematurely dies Health Question & Answer
Yes! Your just being a mature adult.. Health Question & Answer
YES you should be concerned and he will to when he has his first heart attack or dies from the attack.. When the doctor tells him that he is on the way to having a heart attack because of high blood pressure.. it is just a matter of time.. Personally i am 54 and a vegetarian and eat mostly all healthy stuff with an occasional sweet here or there.. I do eat dairy and salmon.. Salmon is the perfect food.. I had heart surgery 2 years ago for a Mitral Valve repair.. A month before the surgery they did an angiogram and found my areteries to my heart and in my heart were perfectly clear.. I say that is due to the healthy eating.. he will regret his diet and not taking care of his body as a result.. I hope you can get him to change..
